RSS and Bloglines

What a wonderful idea in this information explosion era!
I don’t know if I will be a routine user of my account, but I appreciate the opportunity to have learned about RSS feeds and bloglines.

My Community Library

My interests for the week was Flickr. Despite a difficult beginning, I had lots of fun uploading the pictures. In addition, I made my first creation with mosaic maker.

#5 Discover Flickr

A picture of the cricket on Flickr goes with my blog "A bugging incident".

The cricket from Flickr.

A bugging Incident

Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz………a sound came from a corner in the staff room.

Alarmed and scared, we called our custodian, a big guy, to check it out. He marched into the staff room and the three of us trailed behind him.

The sound stopped immediately once he moved a paper roll from the corner.

Puzzled, our four pairs of eyes searched around.

We finally spotted it. A little cricket was crawling alongside the wall, very quietly.

As the custodian tried to get it, it jumped up and disappeared.

Jokingly, we said “The cricket in Times Square” turned out to be “The very quiet cricket.”

7 ½ habits of successful lifelong learners

The goal is to complete the 23½ things in 13 weeks. Play is the easiest to me.

As for the other 6 habits, let’ see……

Accept challenges- for someone who has had little or no experience in Instant Messaging, digital images, xanga, myspace and facebook …… I would not be here if I did not want to accept the challenge.

Be confident – easier said then done, I hope that my confidence will increase as I progress through these tasks

Toolbox – Toolbox?? I need a tool truck! ……

Technology – Not only are there financial aspects towards obtaining new equipment, but also the necessary knowledge to use them.

Teach – in order to teach oneself as well as others, one must have an abundant knowledge of the particular subject

Hopefully, I will stick around long enough to finish these 23 ½ things.

So long!
